Kristen Stewart

I was a little skeptical when I first saw trailers for this but they didn't do it justice. Kristen did a great job with Em's character and definitly made the movie work. Maybe I'm just a skeptic, but I have a hard time picturing any other young actress in Hollywood who could have brought the film together the way that Kristen did. I think it's because she's young and pretty but not in a plastic, Barbie-doll way. Kudos to you, Kristen.

This is really an amazing movie. It's on my top list of favorite movies, right next to twilight. :D

I Wikipediad this, it kind of confused me but it seems like a high school drama story with a happy ending. I think I would still watch it. Basically it's about a guy who tries to get a job to save up money for graduate school and the only one he can find is a crappy one at this amusement park in his town called adventure land. He hates it till he sees a girl named Em (KS) works with him and they start liking each other and Em was having an affair with him and a whole bunch of drama breaks out and that's where the story takes place.

good reviews of this one..i guess i had to check it out and watch to be able to give a comment..

How old is this movie?

You know I didn't like the movie that much. To me its just another usual love story. At least its not that bad enough for anyone to not be able to watch it though.

hi sav..i guess its an 80 flicks..and im sure you cant relate on the story line..of which in my part its the same also..

just rented and watched this movie it was pretty good.

I rented it and watched it over the weekend. I didn't like it much. It was too slow and not very funny at all. I dunno but I was disappointed I didn't like it at all.

maybe you're just not into good 80's flicks.haha

I'm very excited to see this movie!! I think the previews probably don't give it justice like a lot of people are saying. I love how she always has a hint of herself in all of her characters. I think it's something that fans can really latch on to and they just really learn to love. Who couldn't like her? Haha. I mean, she seems so sweet, so normal, and she's not like all the other celebs who are out drinking all night, and getting with every guy in town. FINALLY a good role model haha. Well, apart from the smoking factor, but hey.. no one's perfect. Although, I was disappointed to see her smoking in photos. Maybe it's because she's under so much stress from all the media attention that was caused by Twilight. That must be INSANE to comprehend!!

I totally agree - it's nice to see KS hold on to a piece of herself in her movies. I don't think it's like, "oh, here's another typical KS role" - I think she has a pretty good range. I think it's more of her own quirkiness showing through her characters. I like that in actors, where you can tell what kind of person they are, but you also get lost in the role he/she is playing. Like Tom Hanks. Or Reese Witherspoon. Or Drew Barrymore.

I really didn't like this movie at all. It was just so boring! I don't get how it was so 80's either. There wasn't much but maybe the clothes and the old cars that showed it was in the 80's. I was just so bored with it. Kristen did a great job acting as always but just the movie itself was slow going and boring.

I loved the movie! And the soundtrack is AWESOME!

Just video on demanded this movie. I love it! Kristen's acting is awesome in this film and really helps to bring the plot together. I can honestly say the movie almost made me cry. The whole seen outside of Connel's mom's place drove me insane. Thanks to everyone who posted good reviews and inspired me to check it out. =]

Oh, and an add-on to my last post. "Adventureland" as it's known in the movie is really a theme park in Pittsburgh, but it goes by the name Kennywood. Anyone who's been there will agree, the place is great. If you've been there and watch the movie you can pick out all the rides and stuff that are actually there. Now I just with I'd been at the place when they were filming. I WOULD HAVE DIED!!!

Hey Sofia! This movie wasn't all that great at all. Basically if you have absolutely nothing to do and your super bored then watch it but if your looking for something thats going to keep you entertained and really into it then watch something else! I can't say it was a bad movie because it wasn't but it definitely isn't something I'd pay to see in the theaters and not for movie night. This is more like a sunday afternoon rental movie.
